Best breakfast smoothie

I love a quick and easy breakfast, especially when it can either feed the whole family or I can use left-overs the next day.

My breakfast smoothie is a ‘flexible’ recipe depending on your flavour preference (my son doesn’t like bananas, I often have bits of frozen fruit in the freezer I jumble into a (‘jungle smoothie’).

1 cup greek or natural yoghurt

1 frozen, or mushy, banana

1 cup frozen fruit (mango, berries etc)

1 cup rolled oats

2 tablespoon almonds or LSA mix

1 1/2 – 2 cups milk (dairy or otherwise)

Mix it up for a minute on high. Taste-test. Yum. Pour into cups and enjoy.

1 glass is 1 serve.

Should you have leftovers, pour into a clean jar, screw a lid on tight and put it in the fridge for tomorrow’s breakfast…or pour into moulds for healthy sweet treats.
